How to talk to your favourite creator one to one, safely

A fan having a private video call with a creator

Comments get lost and DMs go unread. Here is how paid one-to-one chats and video calls with creators work, how to get the most out of one, and how to stay safe from fake accounts and scams.

Why DMs rarely work

Popular creators get far more messages than they can read. Even the ones who want to reply cannot keep up, and many messages land in folders they never open. That is why more creators now offer paid one-to-one time: a set number of minutes where they give you their full attention, and you know you will get an answer.

How paid one-to-one sessions work

The idea is simple. You pick a creator, choose the type and length of session, pay for it, and talk. On Zinsta it works like this:

  1. Find a creator by category, such as music, drama, fitness or comedy, and see who is online right now.
  2. Pick a session: chat, voice call or video call, at the price the creator sets.
  3. Pay from your wallet in rupees. For an instant session the creator has two minutes to accept. If they do not, your money goes back to your wallet automatically.
  4. Talk. The timer runs on Zinsta's servers, so it is fair to both sides, and you can add time while you talk.

You can also book a session for later, within the creator's weekly hours.

Chat, voice or video: which should you choose?

Before you book

  • Know what you want. Advice on a song, a fitness routine, help with your channel, or just a conversation? A clear goal makes a short session feel long.
  • Check the profile. On Zinsta, a blue verified badge means the creator's identity was checked with their CNIC and a selfie. Read their bio and what other fans say.
  • Compare price and length. Look at what you get per minute, and start with a shorter session if you are unsure.
  • Write your questions down. Three or four good questions are better than ten rushed ones.

What to ask: ideas by type of creator

  • Singers and musicians: share a short recording and ask what to work on first, or how they practise.
  • Fitness coaches: explain your goal and your schedule, and ask for a realistic weekly plan.
  • YouTubers and TikTokers: ask them to look at one of your videos and say what they would change.
  • Actors and models: ask how they prepared for auditions or landed their first role.
  • Beauty and fashion creators: ask for product or styling advice for your skin, budget or occasion.

During the session

  • Be on time for booked sessions. The clock is fair to both sides.
  • Start with your most important question.
  • Be respectful. Creators can end a session or block anyone who is abusive.
  • If you want more time, add minutes before the timer runs out.

How to stay safe: red flags to watch for

Scammers often pretend to be well-known creators or their "managers". Be careful if someone:

  • messages you first and asks you to send money to a JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank account to "book" a call;
  • asks you to move the conversation to WhatsApp or another app, or to pay outside the platform;
  • asks for your OTP, password, a photo of your CNIC or other personal details;
  • pressures you to decide quickly, or promises something that sounds too good to be true;
  • asks for personal or private photos.

Never share a one-time code (OTP) with anyone, even someone who says they are from support. On Zinsta, payments stay inside the app, phone numbers and requests to pay elsewhere are filtered out of chats, and you can report or block anyone in one tap. Zinsta is only for adults aged 18 and over. Read our safety and community rules to learn more.

What if something goes wrong?

A fair platform should protect you when a session does not happen or does not go well. On Zinsta:

  • If a creator declines or does not accept within two minutes, you get a full refund automatically.
  • If you cancel a booked session at least one hour ahead, you get a full refund. Later cancellations get 50% back. If the creator cancels, you always get a full refund.
  • If the creator ends a session early, the unused time is refunded.
  • If something else went wrong, request a refund in the app within 24 hours and our team will review it.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really the creator I am talking to?

On Zinsta, every creator verifies their identity before going online. Be wary of anyone outside the app who claims to represent a creator and asks you for money.

How much does a session cost?

Each creator sets their own prices, so they vary. You always see the price and the length before you pay.

Can I talk to a creator for free?

Creating an account is free, but sessions are paid, at the price each creator sets. That is what lets creators give you their full attention.
