Copyright and Takedown Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Zinsta respects creators, artists, record labels, studios and everyone else's intellectual property and expects its users to do the same. Users are responsible for what they post. When a rights holder tells us about content that infringes their rights, we act on it quickly, as described here.

If your work is used without permission

You can tell us in either way:

To be valid, a notice should include:

  1. your name, contact details and, if you act for someone else, who you represent and your authority;
  2. a description of the work (for example song title and artist) and where we can see the original;
  3. the link to the Zinsta content, or its post or reel ID, so that we can find it;
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
  5. a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are, or are authorised to act for, the rights holder;
  6. your electronic or physical signature (typing your full name is enough).

What we do

If your content was removed by mistake (counter-notice)

If you believe content was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, email zinsta.org@gmail.com with the subject "Counter-notice" and include the notice number, the content, a statement that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or that you have permission to use it, your name, address and email, and your signature. We pass it to the person who sent the notice. If they do not tell us within 10 working days that they have started legal action, we may restore the content.

Repeat infringers

Zinsta closes the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe. When a notice about a user's content is upheld: the first time they get a warning; the second time within 12 months their uploads are paused for 7 days; the third time their account is permanently closed. Serious or deliberate infringement can lead to closure straight away.

Please do not misuse this process

Knowingly sending a false notice or counter-notice can have legal consequences and gets the sender blocked from the process. Only send a notice about material you own or are authorised to protect.

Other rights

For impersonation, false statements about a real person, private images or information, or any other legal complaint, use the same form. For government, court or police requests see Legal requests.
